My visit to ST Pete / part 1
St. Pete is a city that is located on the Florida Gulf coast. It is one of the most beautiful touristy cities I have ever visited. I was lucky to spend 3 incredible days in that city. If you guys were following my Instagram stories, then you definitely saw some parts of my visit. In this blog and the next blog, I’m going to passionately tell you more about my trip and the cool spots that I highly recommend to visit if you make it to Saint Pete in Florida.

Where to stay in St. Pete?
I stayed at the Kimpton Hotel Zamora which is a 4 star hotel. The service and hospitality was the best. The view was wonderful, especially during sunset. The hotel is only one block away from the beach. The room was very clean and the décor was so beautiful. To be honest, I really didn’t want to leave the hotel. I highly recommend staying there and I’m already looking forward to going again.
St. Pete is a beautiful city that is rich with art galleries and museums. I wish I had time to visit the entire city’s art galleries. However, I was lucky enough to visit one of its most impressive museums, the Dali Museum. My friend Greg and I had the privilege of receiving a private tour by Christa, who gave us unique information and a broader understanding of Dali’s work, relationships, collaborations and his life in general. I wasn’t familiar with Dali prior to my visit, but once I started to understand the complicated, talented and brilliant Salvador Dali and his progression of art, I was completely hooked. The collection is enormous and the building itself is incredibly creative and a masterpiece architectural gem. The entire museum is equipped with audio description thoroughly explaining all exhibits, so you’ll be well informed even if you don’t have a guide with you.
My visit happened around the same time Dali museum featured haute couture gowns, accessories, paintings, drawings , photos, as well as new designs by Bertrand Guyon for Maison Schiaparelli. That was the first exhibition dedicated to spot the light on the creative collaboration between Elsa Schiaparelli and Salvador Dali. The powerful collaboration between the two amazed the whole world with their spectacular visions.
I was so overwhelmed when I saw the old Schiaparelli designs! My jaw dropped as I saw all the similarities between my designs and her designs! The coincidence of it touched my heart and left me speechless as I had no explanation but Schiaparelli is definitely my subconscious inspiration. Elsa Schiaparelli was one of the most famous fashion figures between the two World Wars. Her designs were so unique, bold and strongly influenced by artists, like Dali. The collaborations of the two, Dali and Schiaparelli, went viral to prove the strong correlation between art and fashion. I’m so thankful for the opportunity of visiting Dali Museum at the same time of exhibiting Schiaparelli designs.
Stay tuned for Part 2…………………………..
